(A) Branch Postmaster (BPM)

The Branch Post Master’s job profile will include the managerial work of the GDS Branch Post Office, India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) and ensuring continuous counter operation during the prescribed working hours using the handheld device/smartphone provided by Section.

Total management of postal facilities, maintenance of records, maintenance ensuring online transactions and marketing of postal, India Post Payments bank services and farms or Purchase business in Gram Panchayats. The shoulders of the branch should rest on the shoulders of the branch post office Postmaster.

However, the work done for the IPPB will not be accounted for TRCA, this is being done on an incentive basis. The branch postmaster will be the team leader of the GDS Post Office and fully responsible for the smooth and timely functioning of the GDS Mail Office and Post Office with Mail Delivery.

He/she can be assisted Assistant Branch Post Master of the same GDS Post Office. Must do BPM Collective duties of ABPM as ordered. He also has to do marketing, conducting fairs, business purchases and any other work assigned BPM will have to do some post offices at IPO / ASPO / SPO / SSPO / SRM / SSRM, etc. Perform all BPM / ABPM tasks.

(B) Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)

The Assistant Branch Post Master’s job profile will include all sales activities delivery of mail to stamps/stationery, shipping, and door deposits/payments/others transaction under IPPB, assisting postmasters of the branch in counter duty using a handheld. Device/smartphone supplied by the department,

However, the work is done for IPPB This will not be included in the TRCA calculation, as it is being done on incentive Basis. He loves marketing, organizing fairs, buying businesses and any other work assigned by Branch Postmaster or IPO / ASPO / SPO / SSPO / SRM / SSRM Etc. ABPM will also be required by the order and a combined fee of BPM.



The postal service’s job profile will include the sale of stamps and all the work Stationery, mailing and any other duties assigned by the Postmaster / Sub Postmaster works with the IPPB in the Divisional Post Offices / RMS.

However, the work will not be included in the TRCA calculation submitted for the IPPB, as the work is ongoing on an incentive basis. 10th Pass Govt Jobs – Educational Qualification

(i) Certificate of the passing of the Secondary School Examination (10th pass) (S.S.C.) with the passing marks in Mathematics and English (studied as compulsory or optional subject) organized by any accredited school education board of the government India / Government of India / Union Territory will be a compulsory one.

(iii) Basic Computer Training:-

Candidates will be required for all recognized categories of GDS referred to in (i) Basic Computer Training Course Give a certificate of the duration of at least 60 days from any of the Central Government / State Government / Universities / Computer Training Institutes Board / Private Institution.

This requirement of basic computer knowledge will be available in the candidate who has studied computer as a Certificate Matriculation Matric or XII or a separate certificate will not be requested in any other higher education level and in such cases.

10th Pass Govt Jobs – RESIDENCE

The status of the sixth traffic residence shall be as per the rules mentioned in Rule 3-A (vii) of the GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2011.

Candidates applying for GDS BPM post are required to provide accommodation for branch post office after selection but before engagement. The residence should meet the following prescribed standards: –

(i) The building may be owned by the Gram Panchayat or the Central Government or the State, such as schools or offices or BPM’s own house or suitable rented government residence at the busy site of the village.

(ii) Location –

The main busy part of the village should be located in the Rural Postal Service Branch Office (GDS BO).

(iii) Size –

The minimum size of a GDS branch office should not be less than 100 square feet, possibly 10 ‘x10’ in dimensions and ground floor.

(iv) Method –

The GDS branch office should have direct access/view from the village and should be located in front of the building in which it is located. Should not be located in the verandah, courtyard, kitchen, SPWC under The GDS BO. Staircases, bedrooms, damaged rooms, temporary living, separate building farms, etc. which are difficult to obtain/understand by customers.

(v) Design –

GDS branch office residence should be a priority brick Design of mortar to ensure safety and security. The room should be well ventilated and light and properly maintained and thoroughly washed white.

(vi) Electricity supply –

The post office room should have an electrical connection. Charges for handheld devices and fans, light bulbs, etc. Keep solar panels installed.

(vii) Post office use should be available only for the GDS branch office space. It may work from a village to a shop but will work from a post office shop. There should be a specific place to hold a registration, micro ATM or handheld device, and giving the sign to show items other than Spence is important.

(viii) Currently, the Darpan device is using all four Network Service Providers (NSPs). Of course, while providing accommodation for Airtel, Vodafone, Idea and BSNL GDS BO to contact the branch post offices, it should be ensured that the network is available for any of these NSPs.

Further, it is clarified that the applicant for GDS BPM is the candidate provided the above-mentioned standard of residence if the selection is correct before committing and if it is involved as GDS then BPM will be eligible for the draw collection allowance @ Rs.55 / per month not mentioned on 17-31 / 2016-GDS dated 25.06.2018 and No. 17-31 / 2016-GDS (PT) on 28.09.2018.

Further, if the candidate is selected and is involved as GDSBPM, then he will be provided with free government accommodation for the post office in the rental office and Stay in post Equivalent allowance of BPM will be 1 for२ / – for those who provide non-standard accommodation (those who do not complete), as mentioned in the Directorate, the standard is considered non-standard facility) Om No 17-31 / 2016-GDS dated 25.06.2018 And No. 17-31 / 2016-GDS (Pt) dated. 27.09.2018.

10th Pass Govt Jobs – Knowledge of cycling

Knowledge of cycling is a pre-requisite for all GDS posts.

In the case of A candidate who has knowledge of scooter or motorcycling, the same can be considered as knowledge of cycling. The candidate will have to submit a statement in this regard.

10th Pass Govt Jobs – Adequate Means of Livelihood

A candidate applying for an adequate means of subsistence should note that he or she has sufficient resources to provide for himself/herself and his family from other sources to supplement his income.

However, this will not be a pre-requisite candidate. The selected candidate must abide by these conditions within 30 years after selection but before the engagement. Candidate should submit a guarantee letter in addition to making allowance for the application itself as he has other sources of income.

The government paid the family enough for his / her livelihood. After being selected as Grameen Dak Sevak, the candidate will have to give a guarantee before re-investment. The condition of the means of livelihood shall apply as prescribed in Rule A (iii) of GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2011.

However, this should not be a condition for GDS or Post for the purpose of applying for selection thereafter, the candidate is required to adhere to this prescribed condition of pre-requisite selected candidate within 30 days after selection but will continue till the time of engagement and discharge safety.

10th Pass Govt Jobs – Furnishing of Security

On commitment as a GDS, the person engaged should provide security in it in a timely manner. Current security amounts in the case of GDS Postmaster and other recognized categories of GDS are ABPMs and postal servants Rs. 1,00,000/- (vide Date. 17-18 / 2018-GDS dated 14.01.2020)

10th Pass Govt Jobs – Accommodation for Lactating Branch Post Office

The candidate selected for BPM investment will have to be given a central position within 30 days of residence in the branch post office village for use as the post office premises and rentals if candidates need to rent.

i) No person in the position of selection will be considered for investing in the post. The candidate selected as the 12th Grameen Dak Sevak will not participate in any outside work An agency that is detrimental to the post office’s business or interests.

ii) No previous experience or choice of any kind of service will be considered. Fourteenth. Rural postal service shall be outside the civil service of the union and governed by GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2011 as amended from time to time.

iii) Fulfillment of Other Terms and Conditions:

The terms and conditions of investment on GDS Post will apply as specified in the relevant Rules of GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2011.

iv) Adequate representation of SC / ST / OBC, persons with disabilities and economically weaker persons Department (EWS)

The instructions issued by the Department vide no.19-11/97-ED & TRG dated 27.11.1997, No. 17-08/2017-GDS dated 26.02.2019 and No. 17-09/2019-GDS dated 26.02.2019providing for adequate representation of SC/ST/OBC communities, Persons with Disability and Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) respectively will continue to apply. The permissible disability for persons with Disability will be as given below in GDS posts:-

vi) Methods of Engagement:

The engagement process will continue as the online engagement process for engagement GDS of all categories of GDS notified as per Directorate No. 17-23 / 2016 dated 01.08.2016.

(a) Fee exemption for applying to GDS Post:

Applicants in UR / OBC / EWS Male category will have to pay a fee of Rs 100. (One hundred bucks only) for each set of five options. Everyone is exempted from paying fees Female candidates, all SC / ST candidates, and all PWD candidates.

(b) Option to apply to GDS Post:

A candidate can apply online for a maximum of twenty positions per cycle across India Internal engagement means that a potential candidate can apply for twenty positions on one circle or on one application spread across multiple circles. This hat of twenty terms the candidate’s home circle contains the resulting vacancies.

A home circle is a relative or The potential candidate’s origin/occupation status in which he/she resides permanently and That postal circle is providing opportunities. Therefore, candidates should take proper care When using the twenty options available to him/her in each cycle.

However, only one If you apply for one or more positions in each circle, they will submit posts for each circle. Example: – If the candidate is opting for five posts consisting of Post 1, Post 2, Post 3, Post 4, Post 5, Etc. and posts that are selected as merit in multiple posts in order of priority Candidates will be granted for all the remaining posts.

Viii) Selection Criteria: –

a) The selection will be made automatically based on the generated quality list candidates submit the online application.

b) No weight will be given to higher education qualifications. Only points in the 10th approved boards shall have the standard up to a percentage accuracy of 4 decimals

f) Candidates can apply for a maximum of twenty positions depending on the online engagement cycle. This Mutual means that a prospective candidate can apply for 20 posts on the same application spread across one or all circles.

Only one registration is allowed for one candidate. The same registration number can be used to submit applications during any cycle in any circle. Mapping is mandatory for mobile number registration. Once a single mobile number is not registered, allow for registration of any other candidates.

In case of any duplicate registration, all the candidate applications related to such registration are found by changing the basic information removed for consideration. Registration Number Forget Any candidate can get Registration Number through the ‘Forgot Registration’ option.
